Tonto Dikeh lashes back at Burna Boy, fans react!

It's almost a week now since Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh released her singles, 'Hi' and 'Its over', and she hasn't stopped trending on twitter. While some few listening audience thinks she has the prospect to to do well in the music industry, most concluded she has no business grabbing the mic to sing. Prominent among her critics is up and coming Port Harcourt base singer Burner Boy, who suggested death penalty for 'wack' artists via his twitter handle (he has since apologized). With no reaction from Tonto regarding that tweet, little did we know that she was waiting for just an opportunity to fire back..... well, the opportunity was handed to her when the "like to party" crooner fell off the stage while performing at the Headies Awards held in Lagos over the weekend. You might call it just a fall, but Tonto Dikeh calls it 'Karma' and did not hesitate to send her good morning greetings to her fans using Burna boy's fall as an analogy.
This was quickly followed by tweets from people that may either be Tonto's haters or Burna's lovers..... Any which one, "all join".....

Tonto Dikeh's new singles: From the Critics Point of View

It is no longer news that Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh, yesterday released her two new singles, what is news here is the way the songs were received by the listening audience. Critics did not waste any time dishing out their minds on how they feel about the songs notably among the critics is film director and producer Charles Novia.
The twitter community did not spare the wanna-be musician one bit as they took to twitter trending #Poko and #SongsBetterThanTontoDikeSong. It may shock you that cowbell advert even the NTA news theme songs were chosen as better than Tonto Dike's song by twitter users.

For your reading pleasure, I have put together write-ups from critics and the trending tweets. Enjoy!

(1) “Her music career was dead on  arrival” – A critique of Tonto Dikeh’s new singles

It is now glaring that most Nigerians who do well (or not) in their chosen field, find the music industry a convenient vacation chalet or an adventure forecourt to exhibit whatever is left of them.
