Iyanya sets new record for highest single caller ringback tune downloads in Nigeria

Mobile ringtone service providers, MTech, have confirmed that Iyanya’s Kukere, is now the highest ever purchased caller back tune.

The song which put the winner of the first ever Project Fame West Africa on another pedestal, has been requested by over three million subscribers.

Kukere, was produced by D-Tunes, who also churned out another of Iyanya’s hit track, ‘Your Waist’ and has gone on to become one of the most popular songs released in Nigeria in 2012.

Iyanya confirmed this in a tweet which read: “Mtech in my house to present me a cheque for breaking the record for downloads on callertunes in Africa. Thank you all. #Kukere”

Iyanya only wanted Yvonne Nelson's 'WAIST'... dumps her for Tonto Dikeh

This is a news of heartbreak coming from Nollywood and Ghanaian diva, Yvonne Nelson. Going by her tweets the star actress has been dumped by Iyanya and has now pitched his tent with another actress and singer, Tonto Dikeh. 
Take it easy Yvonne, he made it clear that all he needed was "Your Waist"

“I’m Iyanya’s biggest fan, I’ll marry him if he proposes” – Yvonne Nelson

Ghanaian and Nollywood star actress, Yvonne Nelson, in an interview with Yes! Magazine, says she is his biggest fan and he is a special guy. She also affirms that she will marry him if he proposes. Its important she finds out if the 'kukere' crooner is not only interested in her 'waist'.....LOL

Yes!: Have you found the right man?

Yvonne: Not yet.I am still searching.

Yes!: Can you tell us about your alleged romance with iyanya because he mentioned your name in one of his tracks.

Yvonne: He is a good friend of mine. I’m his biggest fan. I love his music. He’s an amazing guy, special guy! That’s all about it.

Yes!: If he proposes to you today,would you say yes?

Yvonne: Maybe,yeah,maybe,you never know.Yeah.I’ll accept if he proposes.I mean,he’s good,a nice guy..

Iyanya features D'Banj in Kukere remix

While we are still busy dancing to 'Kukere' ,Iyanya has just dropped hints that the remix of the track is almost ready and will feature no other than the kokomaster himself, D'Banj.
He has confirmed this via his Twitter page;
