It was a clear case of double tragedy as rapist besiege the camps of flood victims in Makurdi, Benue state capital raping no fewer than 19 young girls in different settlements.
Investigations confirmed that the devilish act of defiling young girls has gradually become a regular occurrence in different designated camps across the state.
Just like the wolves in sheep’s clothing, it was revealed that the perpetrators of the ungodly act were young men who reside in the camps with their victims while some others come from within the communities where the flood victims are taking refuge.
The camps at Wurukum part of the state to Saint Catherine and Wadata , have similar rape complaints.
