A BRIEF ON PRINCE JOENEZ
Iyke Joenez Jr aka PRINCE JOENEZ is a United States based Singer/Recording artist from Imo State, Nigeria. His dad was the legendary highlife Jazz blues singer, late Joe-Nez of the blessed memory.
PRINCE JOENEZ brand of music can best be described as Afro hip hop/ R&B. After the showcasing of his debut album in 1996, (Seen the light), Joenez Jr independently released a solo effort in Nigeria which sold more than a million copies.
During his high school years in Nigeria, JOENEZ JR performed as opening act for Majek Fashek in a couple of concerts at PMAN Show in Owerri sports stadium (1989) and Crystal Park Hotel Arena Aba (1989). He also opened concerts for Ras Kimono and has performed alongside prominent musicians, which include Jonel Cross, One World, Felix Feladey Odey and the late Christy Essien Igbokwe in Muson center Lagos Nigeria.
His talent earned him to represented Imo State in the all Nigeria Choral music Show in 1989 when he was very young.
In 2003, PRINCE JOENEZ moved to the United States to pursue his music career. His sojourn in the US has been eventful and insightful. The exposure has presented him with experience and growth in the industry. He is recognized as an influence in the music industry in Ngeria. He has also performed in various cities - Washington DC, New Jersey, Gary Indiana, Baltimore MD, Boston MA, Chicago IL and in New York, and is indisputably accepted as one of the foremost Nigerian artists in America and he insists on working with the finest teams.
