Former prime minister Baroness Thatcher dies peacefully at the age of 87 after suffering a massive stroke
Her spokesman Lord Bell said: 'It is with great sadness that Mark and Carol Thatcher announced that their mother Baroness Thatcher died peacefully following a stroke this morning'.

Tony Blair said Margaret Thatcher was "kind, supportive and generous spirited" to him as Prime Minister.
He added: "Even if you disagreed with her as I did on certain issues and occasionally strongly, you could not disrespect her character or her contribution to Britain’s national life. She will be sadly missed."
Former US President George Bush paid tribute, saying: "Prime Minister Thatcher is a great example of strength and character, and a great ally who strengthened the special relationship between the United Kingdom and the United States."
