Explosion rocks Church inside Jaji military building


The explosion occurred inside a military compound.A bomb explosion has occurred at a Church inside a military complex in Jaji, Kaduna State.
The explosion occurred on Sunday inside the premises of the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji, in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State The casualty figure is yet to be ascertained.

The two blasts, according to Nigerian Army hit the St. Andrew Military Protestant Church, killing 11 people and injuring 30 others.
According to army spokesman, Brigadier General Bola Koleosho, the attacks were just 10 minutes apart.
His words, “There were twin suicide bombings today at St Andrew Military Protestant Church (in the town of Jaji),”
A military spokesman in Kaduna, Colonel Sani Usman also confirmed that “There were blasts today in a church inside the military barracks in Jaji (in Kaduna state). It happened after the church service”
“The first blast caused no casualties and curious worshippers gathered around the scene looking at the debris… and that was when the second blast happened,” he said.
“Many people were injured but I have not received reports of any deaths at the moment.”
No group has claimed responsibility for the deadly attacks yet but some residents said the Islmaist fundamentalists, Boko Haram could be responsible.
